Labor Day was fun this year! We had a big get together out at my mom's house. Everyone came & had a great time. The guys did all the cooking & shot golf balls around the yard. Brian is becoming interested in golf now which is weird. He did good but I still can't picture him on a golf course with the tattoos & the baseball cap!
When we first got there Cindy, Steve, Madison & Ally were already there with Dennis. No one said a word. You could feel the tension between everyone. I don't know what the problem was but Brian & I were both so uncomfortable. That is my mom's house & we are welcome anytime. You don't need to be at our place & get an attitude with us when we come over.
It is so childish but I know it had to be because I haven't called her back lately & I've been kind of ignoring her ever since she started her drama about me. But I had every reason to "stay away" & ignore her! I didn't want the drama!
Talk about awkward... every single time I am around Don & Steve find a way to bring up my looks. I know I should be flattered or whatever but it is getting annoying! Brian actually loves it because he's proud but I know for a fact it pisses Cindy off. Debbie could care less - she knows Don likes me, he always has - but Steve really needs to keep his mouth shut especially now that Cindy is pregnant. Hormones are crazy & considering we're the same age & she's used to being the Queen Bee of the family I can see why it really bothers her. Anyway - she shot me the meanest look when the guys were going on about me & says, "You KNOW they're talking about YOU!" with such an attitude it was obvious she was mad. Classy! It's okay to be pissed but take that up with YOUR man not me! I don't want him!
Thankfully the kids ALL got along! No major incidents. Madison has an attitude but that isn't new. Hannah said Madison is "mean" because she doesn't share & the way she talks & then she imitated what Madison says & the attitude she has. LOL it was funny! I told Hannah that is the way Madison is & not to be afraid of her. Ally seemed nice too. Faith told me everyone played happily & no one was being mean. Melissa would have told me if anything happened. Don did have to tell Madison & Ally not to tell Faith & Hannah what to do because they were being a bit bossy. We just have to watch everything they do but that is any group of children, especially all girls!
